Every Jovian Power product carries a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when installed and operated within its published ratings.

Installation guidelines
Qualified installation
Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. Disconnect power before wiring.
Ground metal housings
Connect the input ground of metal-housed units reliably to earth. Never leave it floating or connect it to neutral.
Size for 80% load
Keep the connected LED load at or below 80% of the rated output. Match the output voltage to the LEDs and observe polarity.
Keep Class 2 outputs separate
On multi-output models, run each LED circuit from its own output. Do not connect outputs in parallel.
Allow ventilation
Mount in a ventilated location within the rated operating temperature. The housing can get hot in operation; avoid touching it.
Wet locations
For damp and wet locations, use a model rated for the location and wet-rated connections or junction boxes. Do not open or repair units; contact us instead.
Frequently asked questions
What size LED power supply do I need?
Add up the rated wattage of every LED strip or module on the supply, then divide by 0.8. That keeps the supply at 80% load or less, the standard margin for long driver life. For example, 72W of LED strip needs at least 90W of supply, so choose a 96W or 100W model. The model finder on our homepage does this for you.
Can one power supply handle both 12V and 24V LED strip?
Yes. Io AutoVolt switches automatically between 12V output (5A, 60W) and 24V output (4A, 96W), so one part number covers both. Every other Jovian Power model has a fixed 12V or 24V output and must match the voltage of the LEDs it powers.
Should I use 12V or 24V?
Always match the rated voltage of your LED strip or modules. When you have the choice, 24V systems draw half the current of 12V for the same power, so they can run longer lengths with less voltage drop.
What does Class 2 mean, and why do some models have several outputs?
Class 2 power supplies limit the power available on each output circuit, which reduces fire and shock risk and can simplify wiring requirements. To stay within those limits, higher-wattage models provide several separate Class 2 outputs. For example, the Callisto 240W 24V model (HPW240-24V-U00-250) has four 2.5A outputs. Wire each LED run to its own output and do not tie outputs together.
What is the difference between UL Recognized and UL Listed?
UL Recognized components are certified for use inside finished equipment such as signs and light fixtures, where the finished product carries its own certification. Callisto and Europa are UL Recognized to UL 8750 (LED equipment) and UL 879 (electric sign components), which is what sign and fixture manufacturers typically need. Certificates are available on request.
Which models can be installed outdoors or in wet locations?
Io AutoVolt, Callisto, Europa and Metis are rated IP68 for dry, damp and wet locations. Leda is rated IP67. Amalthea is intended for indoor installations. Always use wet-rated connections and follow the NEC and local codes for exterior work.
Do you offer dimmable versions?
Dimming versions (0-10V, PWM or potentiometer) and adjustable output current are available on request for Callisto and Europa. Tell us your control system in your quote request and we will confirm the right model.
What warranty do Jovian Power products carry?
Io AutoVolt and Callisto carry a 7-year warranty. Europa and Metis carry 5 years. Leda and Amalthea carry 3 years. To make a claim, contact us with the model number, purchase details and a short description of the issue.
Do you sell directly or through distributors?
Both. We work with electrical and lighting distributors, and we quote directly to sign manufacturers, contractors and OEMs. Use the quote form or call us and we will point you to the best option.
